On December 5, the day of International Volunteer’s Day, the Volunteer Training Meeting for SUSTech 10thAnniversary Celebration was held in SUSTech Convention Center, gathering over 700 student volunteers. University Council Vice Chairperson Fengliang LI, Director of Office of Party Affairs and Administration Siqi CHEN, and Director of Office of Students Affairs Zheng XUE attended the meeting.

Fengliang LI introduced the celebration activities.. He said the celebration would be held to present the philosophy and development of SUSTech. LI also expressed his hope that all the volunteers play their role as a host to serve the celebration.

LI granted the flag for the campus volunteer team.

The representative of volunteers Dongxu HAN led the volunteers to take the oath. They said that they would show the demeanor of SUSTech students and contribute to the 10th Anniversary of the University.

Zheng XUE gave basic training for volunteers. He introduced the basic knowledge of volunteers and shared his experiences as a volunteer and expressed his hope that the students would not forget their original aspirations and make contributions to SUSTech.

Basic training was followed by the introduction of the arrangement of the celebration and voluntary work as well as skills training concerning safety, emergency handling, communication skills, psychological adjustment, and activity etiquette.
