Dr. Bai’s research interests are focused on the additive manufacturing of ceramics and nanocomposites, including materials and AM process development, additive design, and innovative application exploration in the energy, biomedical and electronic communications, etc fields. He has been working with some of the top additive manufacturing machine manufacturers, material producers, and end users in the industry, and has led more than 10 additive manufacturing research projects. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM), an editorial board member of the journal of Mater. Today Commun., and listed among the Top 2% Scientists worldwide.

Additive manufacturing of ceramic and composite materials and their applications

Development of high speed additive manufacturing systems

Additive design and structural optimization.
