RESEARCH INTERESTS

We study neurobiological questions using songbirds.

Specifically,

1) The cellular and neural circuit basis of vocal learning.

2) Neural mechanisms underpinning the acquisition and long-term maintenance of learned behaviors.

3) Neural substrates underlying higher cognitive brain functions among avian species.
