Associate Professor
menghr@sustech.edu.cn

Professor Meng obtained his Bachelor's/Master's degree in Geophysics from Peking University in 2011/2014, and his Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from University of Southern California. Over the following two years, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Florida State University in the United States. In June 2022, he joined Southern University of Science and Technology. Professor Meng is actively engaged in research on earthquake physics, fault zones imaging, and urban and environmental seismology. He has published 16 scientific papers. He was awarded Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Overseas) in 2021.
