Lingyu Zhao

Dr. Lingyu Zhao is an Assistant Professor, PhD Supervisor, and Associate Researcher at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), and has been selected as the High-Level Talent in Shenzhen's Pengcheng Peacock Program. Dr. Zhao received her bachelor's degree from Beihang University in 2013 and her PhD from Peking University in 2019. Dr. Zhao's research focuses on the design of flexible devices, as well as smart structures and materials. In recent years, Dr. Zhao has published 19 papers as first or corresponding author in high-standard international journals, including Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and ACS Nano, with more than 2,700 citations. She has filed eight patent applications, two of which have been granted. Besides, Dr. Zhao has served as the principal investigator for five fundings, including the Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the General Program of the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation, and the General Program of Shenzhen Basic Research General Program. Dr. Zhao currently serves as a member of the 11th Solid Mechanics Committee of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and as a reviewer for journals including ACS Nano, Materials Today Physics, and Applied Physics Letters.

 

Research Areas: Flexible sensors and system integration; human health monitoring; robotic tactile perception; smart structures and materials.
