Faculty
Dr. Ying Liu is a research assistant professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. Her research interests include the development and clinical application of nucleic acid and protein detection methods and liquid biopsy. She obtained her ph. D. degree in Chemistry from Peking University in 2016, and worked on investment in health industry from 2016 to 2019, then finished her postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology from 2019 to 2021. She has published a number of SCI papers and hosted 2 funds. The automated extraction technology of virus nucleic acid developed by her has been industrialized and obtained emergency authorization from FDA in the United States.
