Prof. Ou Gang graduated from Beihang University in 1982 and 1988 separately with Bachelor of Sci. and Master of Sci. After graduation, he worked in the same university for the research and development on the projects related with inertial navigation and control. In 1989, he joined ASM Technology HK, and then in 1991 transferred to ASM Technology Singapore. In 2008 assigned by top management of ASM Pacific Technology, he set up the Chengdu R&D Center of ASMPT,and run it as a managing director. With more than 30 years working in ASM, Prof. Ou accumulated rich experiences in the areas of high end manufacturing equipment, by his working at various technical levels and leadership on tremendous products and projects developed and manufactured in the semiconductor industry. His profound knowledge and rich experience, especially, in the high precision, high dynamic system analysis and design, and in the factory automation and industry 4.0, are well recognized and appreciated by the peers in the industry.
In Aug. 2020, Prof. Ou was appointed as the Professor of Engineering Practice in SDIM, SUSTech.
