Wenfeng Wang
Assistant Professor

Dr. Wang graduated with a Bachelor degree in accounting from the Central University of Finance and Economics of China, a master degree in applied mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a PhD degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park. He was an Assistant Professor in Accounting at the City University of Hong Kong from 2016 to 2023. His research interests include financial reporting and auditing. Currently, his primary research interest is on the intersection of labor economics and accounting research. His work has published in top accounting journals such as The Accounting Review.

If you have a “research mind” and enjoy the process of discovering something new. Welcome to join the team as a post-doc or a research assistant. I am open to explore different research topics as long as they are interesting. You are strongly encouraged to apply if you want to work in topics related the human capital perspective of accounting/finance/auditing research.

1. PostDoc

Requirements:1. PhD degree in Accounting or Finance; 2. can efficiently use SAS/STATA/Python; 3. Good English writing and communication skill; 4. Knows NLP or ML Algos

Annual salary: about 50k USD; Duration: 2 years

2. Research Assistant

Requirements:1. MS or BS degree; 2. can use SAS/STATA/Python; 3. Knows NLP or ML algos

Monthly salary: 8000 RMB
