Dr. ZHAO obtained her doctorate degree at the graduate school of medicine in Hokkaido University and worked there as Assistant Professor then. She joined the School of Public Health and Emergency Management at the Southern University of Science and Technology in 2021 as an Assistant Professor. Her research focuses on chronic disease epidemiology, measurement and evaluation of geriatric syndrome, and active health and aging. Prospective cohort studies were conducted to explore the determinants of health-related outcomes in the old population and to evaluate controlling measures. She has published more than 20 research papers in domestic and foreign journals. She has independently hosted four scientific research projects from Japan Science and Technology Agency and other institutes, and co-hosted one project supported by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. As a co-supervisor, she has/is training 3 postgraduate students and 4 doctoral students. she worked as a peer reviewer for several well-known SCI journals.
