YAO Wensheng

YAO Wensheng, Vice Chairperson of the University Council, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Director of the Institute for Integrity at the Southern University of Science and Technology. He has long been engaged in the practice of public management with major research interests in clean governance and anti-corruption over the past three decades. He has published over 100 papers and articles in journals and other media such as China Legal Science and Global Law Review, and authored/co-authored 6 books including On the Interest-balanced Legal Regulation and Supervision Law. He has also been the PI or participant of multiple important projects at the provincial level and above, and received Shenzhen Outstanding Social Science Achievement Award three times.


Dr. Yao graduated from Wuhan University with a doctoral degree in law, and obtained his master’s and bachelor's degrees from Xiamen University and Shenzhen University, respectively. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and currently serves as the adjunct professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the Southwest University of Political Science and Law.
