黄立民教授,英国皇家化学会会士(FRSC)。于1991、1994和1997年分别获得复旦大学应用化学学士、物理化学硕士和物理化学博士学位。2000-2002、2002-2005年分别于美国加州大学河滨分校、哥伦比亚大学任博士后研究员;2005-2009年任美国哥伦比亚大学纳米研究中心助理研究员,2009-2012年美国纽约城市大学能源研究所研究员和资深研究员。2012-至今任南方科技大学化学系教授,树仁书院院长,曾担任化学系副主任和树仁书院副院长。黄立民博士的研究侧重于纳米材料(包括复合氧化物纳米晶、纳米介电材料、分子筛和介孔材料、碳纳米材料、二维材料等)的合成及其在介电储能、化学储能、催化(光电催化)和柔性可打印器件等方面的应用。已发表论文 140 篇,其中包括 3 篇Science, 2 篇 J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2 篇 Adv. Mater.和 2 篇 Phys. Rev. Lett。有关科研成果入选 IEEE 1906.1 国际标准,曾被美国商业周刊、英国新科学家、科学美国人和麻省理工技术评论等杂志报道。已有两项美国专利被企业使用。曾获得美国材料研究学会的最佳海报奖(2007年)和上海市科学技术进步奖一等奖(2005年)等奖励。担任杂志Nanomaterials和Explora: Environment and Resource的编辑委员会委员。

黄立民博士已在国际刊物上已发表文章140篇,已获授权美国专利4项和中国专利6项,已转让2项美国专利供企业使用。
