南方科技大学讲席教授,中国科学院院士。1982年毕业于中国科学技术大学地球和空间科学系地球物理学专业,获学士学位;1985年在中国地震局地球物理研究所获硕士学位;1991年在美国南加州大学地球科学系获理学博士学位。1996年回国工作,先后任教于北京大学和中国科学技术大学,2016年9月加盟南方科技大学。一直从事地球物理学的教学与科研工作,发表论文260余篇,已培养80余名博士和硕士,曾主持国家自然科学基金会杰青项目、优秀创新群体项目、重点项目、重大项目、集成项目、国际(地区)合作、深圳市孔雀团队、广东省珠江领军人才项目等科研项目40余项。主要研究方向为理论与计算地球物理学、地球动力学及其在防震减灾和资源勘探领域的应用。
