个人简介

30多年奋斗在我国深海科研与教学第一线,是我国在国际深海科技界有重要影响的科学家。针对深海科学前沿领域与国家重大需求,从科技创新和海洋科考紧密结合入手,在海洋地质基础理论研究和海洋原位探测工程技术应用方面都取得了一系列首创性的重要成果。在西南印度洋及西太平洋岩石圈研究上取得重要突破,深化了板块循环理论;在国际海底管理局提出“基线及其自然变化”的环境保护理念与标准,建立了国际海域多金属结核矿床地质模型,较早地在我国开展现代海底热液活动研究;推动我国深潜科学和海底长期观测科学的发展,并自主研发原位采样和实验仪器,在深海取得系列新发现和新认识。迄今已独立或与他人合作发表论文230多篇,其中发表在《Nature》、《Nature Geoscience》、《PNAS》、《Geology》等SCI 收录期刊上的论文90多篇;主编中文著作3 部,参与撰写国际海底管理局英文专著1 部。获得省部级科技进步一等奖2 项(第三名和第四名),二等奖2 项(第二名);已授权国家发明专利22项,已授权国家实用新型专利18项。为搭乘我国“蛟龙号”载人深潜器下潜的首位科学家,主持完成了我国深海大洋第一个973计划项目。同时为我国深海研究领域培养了十多位国家级人才或学术带头人。

历任中国大洋地球与环境科学研究中心主任、国际海洋矿物学会三个执委(Director)之一(2013年1月至2016年12月)、国际海底管理局咨询专家、国家自然科学基金委海洋学科专家评审组成员、国家863计划海洋领域(九五末至十一五)专家组成员、2011-2013年国家基金委首届重大科研仪器设备专项专家委员会成员、国务院大洋专项“九五”-“十五”期间环境项目的首席科学家。2012至2016年担任了我国深海大洋领域首个973项目“西南印度洋洋中脊热液成矿过程与硫化物矿区预测”的首席科学家,并曾多次担任大洋航段及其它国内外海洋科考的首席科学家。2016年至2022年,担任我国“海底观测网”大科学工程设施项目总工程师。2017年6月至2023年6月任加拿大国家海洋观测网国际咨询专家组成员。2023年7月开始,在南方科技大学海洋科学与工程系任讲席教授。

目前主要研究方向:

1.海洋岩石圈地质地球化学及其深时构造运动指示

2.海底铁、锰和磷等金属的表生富集机制及其古海洋意义

3.海底原位实时观测的古今耦合
